CSSOC is dedicated to providing services and programs to all people regardless of race, religion, personal beliefs or socio-economic status.  All programming is easily accessible throughout Oakland County at nine agency offices, off-site locations and in client homes.  Services are delivered by a team of skilled, professional staff and dedicated, well-trained volunteers.

Foster Care & Adoption
Adoption & Foster Care

Children need safety, stability, routine and an abundance of love.  When problems require removing a child from his or her home, CSSOC finds a caring foster family who opens home and heart to provide a temporary haven of love and nurturing.

Every effort is made to return children to their original family environment. But unfortunately, there are times when children cannot be returned to their birth parents.  Although this can be a difficult situation, CSSOC intervenes and matches each child with adoptive parents longing to provide the emotional and environmental stability needed to raise a happy, healthy boy or girl.

  Foster Care Program

Temporarily welcoming a child into your home is a generous gift. Would you like to provide a child love and stability during a time of uncertainty?  Call St. Francis Family Center at #248.552.0750 to discuss the steps necessary for becoming a licensed foster parent.

  Adoption Services
Contemplating the adoption of a child can be an exciting and stressful time. CSSOC would like to assist with the questions and obstacles that can make the process difficult.  Whether adopting through our agency or through another service (including international) - our professionals can help:

Information classes – describe the adoption process with explanations on various options and the ability to answer questions.

Home studies – provide all written material required for international and independent adoption, legal work and adoption supervision.

Post-Adoption support - offers support to families who have adopted children and include respite care, recreational activities, and monthly group meetings.

  Other Services
Searches - confidential intermediary searches for birth parents and adoptees who were part of the CSSOC adoption process.
